My why….

I came to yoga, like so many others, in need of healing—unable to continue living my life as it was. For over 20 years, I traveled the world as a circus performer, living the fast life alongside it. Without the tools to ground and soothe my system, or to face the parts of myself I was running from, I suffered a mental breakdown.In the early stages of recovery, I was left in a chronic state of anxiety and fear, with my nervous system perceiving my environment as a constant threat—“story follows state.” My mental health felt like a dangerous web, and sitting with myself seemed nearly impossible. But in time, and with the tools gifted through yoga, I gradually learned how to regulate my internal state. Slowly, I became able to sit with myself, channeling awareness into the moving, breathing body. Through this, I experienced the liberating realisation that we are not our thoughts—and that there is so much more to life than what we see on the surface.
I discovered a safe place hidden beneath the layers. From this place, I began to feel and perceive joy in the world and through my body once again. Healing is an ongoing journey, but I believe yoga gives us a map to navigate, alchemise, and transform our lives.
I believe deeply in the profound healing power of yoga and movement, and I am passionate about sharing this medicine with others in need. Through the body, we learn to listen and understand the language of our internal landscape, to recognise the layers of conditioning that are not truly ours, and to connect with the space beyond them. Yoga for me is a vehicle for deep connection, embodied coherence, and freedom—a place for inquiry, and a path back home to the true Self.
