I offer an uplifting and balancing vinyasa class, that varies week to week and is built around themes inspired by the seasons, the five elements, and our shared human experience. We always begin with a mindful check-in of breath and body to inquire and connect, meeting yourself where you’re at. From there, we build into a moving meditation that nourishes the system with breath and focused awareness. We then move through a fluid, invigorating vinyasa flow to release and liberate, encouraging a sense of freedom and balance in both mind and body. We always finish by sinking back to centre, grounding, and creating a sense of spaciousness to carry into your day.

Everyone is always welcome—in every shade of messy and wonderful.

My Intention…

I would describe my teaching style as non-judgmental, creative, thoughtful, and nurturing. I encourage acceptance of all parts of ourselves, remembering that we all come to the mat for different reasons—working in our own unique bodies, with varied needs from day to day and moment to moment. I know firsthand how it feels to live through a dysregulated nervous system, and how the body-mind can perceive threat in every moment. Through practicing focused awareness, mindful movement, and, in time, conscious breath, we can gradually bring a sense of safety to the system through which we experience the world, shifting our perspective and our felt experience of life.

Yoga, as a vehicle to connect, inquire, and heal, can teach us the language of our internal landscape. Responding with curiosity and respect can bring the system back into balance, returning us to a liberating sense of openness and ease. From this place—focusing on feeling over form—we can sink out of the mind and into the heart, out of fear and into living. This takes time to trust and cultivate, but it is part of the practice: returning to your Self beneath the layers, to our innate Wholeness and inner Wisdom. We do this not by resisting or rejecting what arises, but by softening into it. Yoga offers us the tools to do this. Finding deeper connection within—and in turn, around us—opens us to more depth and wonder, allowing us to feel the divinity in the finest details of life.

Yoga is the unity of mind, body, and spirit. We each have a unique energetic, emotional, and physical makeup that contributes to our inner and outer worlds. As within, so without. I invite you to be guided by your body’s intuitive preference—always taking what you need and leaving what you don’t. Each practice is a nuanced experience, and my role is to illuminate the path for your own unique journey toward freedom.

The mind attaches; the heart lets go.
The mind operates out of fear and distrust; the heart operates on faith and ease.
The mind is frantic in its functioning; the heart is slow, deliberate, and peaceful.
The mind thrives on and enjoys problem seeking and solving; the heart thrives on acceptance of all things and labels nothing as “wrong” or “right.”
